About the Author

The author is a qualified special needs teacher who has experience of teaching both adults and children with learning disabilities ranging from moderate to severe. Her particular interests are teaching through the use of games, developing Life Skills activities and making and using toys and craft equipment. Samantha worked for three years as Special Education
Teacher in a school for children with learning disabilities in Thailand. Her work involved both working with the children as well as in-service training of the other teaching staff.
